Pre School
Mission Statement
To provide an enviroment where children can :- SMILE
Safe
Motivated
Interact
Learn
Enjoy
We will undertake this by:
Providing high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age.
Working in partnership with parents/carers to help the children learn and develop.
Adding to the life and well-being of our local community.
Offering children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity.
St Thomas More Pre-School is Ofsted registered. It is open term time only providing sessional education for the children from two and a half up until they start school. When the child is three they will receive up to 15 hours free from the government, or 18 hours if the child is eligible for extended funding. We follow the National Curriculum where children learn through play, planning in response to the children’s interests and needs. Each child will receive a key worker who works closely with the child and their parents / carers.
The last Ofsted report shows that we are good in all areas.
The Ofsted statement writes
"Staff have a good understanding of how children learn. They identify next steps to support children’s development and consider children’s individual interests well. Children thrive in this well-presented environment."
